Our History

 

Ahmed and Marion Darrar opened Mediterranean Bistro in Kennesaw, Georgia in August of 2014.
Prior to owning Mediterranean Bistro, they owned an enormously successful Mediterranean sandwich and salad shop in Lenox Mall in Atlanta.
With a combined 50 years experience in the restaurant industry, the Darrar’s bring a wealth of experience to the table. Their restaurant is not only family-owned, it is also family-run. Their sons Adam and Tarik are also involved in the business. You will often find one or both of the brothers running the shop while their Mum and Dad attend to other aspects of the business. Many of the recipes used for the salads and sides are of Ahmed’s own creation, and all of the food at Mediterranean Bistro is authentic, fresh and delicious every day. We visited the Mediterranean Bistro and tried several different salads and got a lamb gyro and a chicken gyro. Everything was delicious and freshly made, from the hummus, tabbouleh and baba ganoush to the tzatziki sauce. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is spotless. We can’t wait to go back and try more of the dishes!
